This walkthrough is simply the instructions to complete the smashing brand new game from LucasArts. This walkthrough is made in steps so that every step should be completed before going on to the next. There are many ways to complete The Curse Of Monkey Island, but we have only included all the nessecary steps. The game û of course û is much more funny and entertaining if you try your way through it on your own, but sometimes you are stuck and this walkthrough is just the thing you need! All steps are not completed in their most logical order, but the walkthrough is an unvaluable tool in case of problems with the puzzels and gameplay.
One basic rule for the game is: Talk to all characters you meet until you have covered all topics with each character. At some point you can ask about things again û then it is time to stop talking with that character! We have therefore not included ways to talk to each character, but only the ones that might cause you trouble. Furthermore we have not included in our walkthrough the first part of the game, as this is already in the "Users Journal" included with the game û and it can be found on the Web û Demo version walkthrough.
As mentioned above we have only included all the nessescary steps in the game. This renders out many funny aspects of the game. Every time you get to a new island you should examine the island thoroughly so that you know where the different places are located! Enough of this û letÆs rock! PART II: THE CURSE GETS WORSE
Pick up the glowing EMBER by ship wreck
Walk left to go to map over island û and explore island
Go to swamp and enter the wrecked ship
Talk to murray
Inside wrecked ship pick up PASTE and PIN
Use BAG OÆ NICKELS with gum ball machine
Pull ALLIGATOR TONGUE
Talk to Voodoo Lady û and empty all subjects
Go to Puerto Pollo
Go to Barbery Coast
Talk to the two barbers (Cutthroat Bill & Edward Van Helgen û NOT the one cutting RottinghamÆs hair) û leave Barbery Coast
Go to stage entrance by theater
Examine POCKET on PIRATE COAT
Open POCKET and pick up GLOVE
Examine PIRATE COAT and pick up DANDRUFF (LICE)
Pick up MAGIC WAND and use it with MAGIC HAT
Pick up BOOK
Look at WORN TRAVEL TRUNK and examine Blood Island Sticker
Go to Barbery Coast
Use LICE with COMB when it is on the tabel behind BARBER CHAIR
Use BARBER CHAIR
Use HANDLE one time
Pick up PAPER WEIGHT (stone on the book)
Use HANDLE again multible times until you can pick up SCISSORS stuck in the roof
Push Cutthroat Bill
When he is caughing push him again
Pick up JAWBREAKER from the floor
Use GLOVE with Edward
At the Field of Honor close the middle BOX LID and open BANJO CASE
Watch Edward play the banjo and note which string he hits at the end of each section (First time 4 tones; Second time: 5 tones; Third time: 6 tones) and play the same
When Edward plays his solo pick up GUN PILE
Pick up PISTOL and use it with DUELING BANJO
Talk to barber pirate (Haggis McMutton)
Go to MYSTERIOUS FLOWERS by the Chicken Shop
Use SCISSORS with FLOWERS and UNDERGROWTH
Pick up everything inside the snake when you have been swallowed
Use PANCAKE SYROP with FLOWER
Use SYROP with SNAKE HEAD
Pick up THORNY PLANTS and REEDS in quicksand
Use PAPERWEIGHT with BALLON
Use THORN with HOLLOW REED
Blow FLOATING BALLON
Use PEA SHOOTER with FLOATING BALLON
Look at the BOAT and examine HOLE in BOAT
Go to PUERTO POLLO
Enter Chicken Shop and talk to CPT. BLONDEBEARD
Push QUIET PATRON and pick up KNIFE in his back
Pick BISCUIT from BARREL
Eat BISCUIT
Use MAGGOTS (from BISCUIT) with GROSS CHICKEN on table
Pick up CLUB CARD
Give JAWBREAKER to CPT. BLONDEBEARD
Give PACK OÆ GUM to CPT. BLONDEBEARD
When he makes a BUBBLE use NEEDLE from inventory to blow it
Pick up GOLD TOOTH
Chew PACK OÆ GUM
Use GOLD TOOTH with CHEWED GUM
Inhale HELIUM BALLON and quickly chew TOOTH IN GUM - bubble flies out of the window
Pick up PIE PAN and BISCUIT CUTTER
Go outside
Use PIE PAN with MUD PUDDLE by drainpipe
Go to The Field Of Honor (Arrow pointing straight up to the right of the theater)
Go to Grassy Knoll
Use KNIFE with SAW HORSE
Use GLOWING EMBER with TRAIL OÆ RUM
Go to Barbery Coast
Give GOLD TOOTH to Cutthroat Bill
Talk to Haggis and ask him to join your crew û and accept his Caber toss challenge
Go to Cabana
Use MEMBERSHIP CARD with Cabana boy
Pick up 3 TOWELS and use them with the ICE BUCKET
Use WET TOWELS with Cbana boy
Pick up COOKING OIL
Go to the beach
Use WET TOWELS with the hot sand so you can walk on the hot sand û and do it fairly quickly
Pick up MUG and talk to SUNBATHER (Palido Domingo)
Go to Puerto Pollo
Go to Lemonade Boy (Small pirate û Kenny)
Use MUG with MUG on table
Talk to Small pirate and buy lemonade
Pick up PITCHER and use with DYE VAT to your right
Go to Beach (Palido)
Give MUG to Palido
Use PITCHER WITH RED DYE with BOTTOMLESS MUG
Use COOKING OIL with Palido
Pick up MAP
Go to Field Of Honor
Use BISCUIT CUTTER with ANOTHER RUBBER TREE
Go to Danger Cove
Use RUBBER PLUG with PASTE and use it with GAPING HOLE in BOAT
Use BOAT
Go to Pirate Ship
Use BREAD KNIFE with PLANK
Board the pirate ship
Talk to Mr. Fossey û No matter what you get tared and feathered and thrown in the water
Go to shore
Go to Puerto Pollo û The Chicken Shop
Use BOOK with CPT. LeChimp
Open PORT HOLE and exit ship
Go to Puerto Pollo
Go to the Theaters Stage Entrance and go upstairs
Click on the HANDLE
Examine MAP in inventory and note the directions
Click on the buttons as directed in the MAP: SE, NW, W, S, E, NE, NE, E, SW
Use CHICKEN GREASE with CANNON BALLS in TRAVEL TRUNK
Go to the Stage (to the right)
Pick up SHOVEL - WATCH VIDEO CLIP

PART III: THREE SHEETS TO THE WIND
When the crew is singing you will get the option to say something û You will have to make them stop singing and make them work! When the option: "WeÆll surely avoid scurvy if we all eat an orange" appears, pick this one as the crew canÆt rhyme on this sentence.
Talk to Haggis
Choose toughness of battle û The upper option is the hard one and by far the funniest
Examine NAVIGATIONAL CHART
Pick a ship labeled with "?" û NOT ROTTINGHAM YET û NB! Consult your "User Journal" for further info on ship battle tehniques û YouÆll need to defeat the pirate ships with your cannons and board it to fight the captain using insult fighting. To extend stock of insults and comebacks youÆll have to lose several battles. We have collected a great deal of insults and their matching comebacks. However we will just write the last word of the insult and comeback sentences.

By the Ship wreck talk to Haggis and ask about the HAND LOTION until you can make a deal
Pick up BOTTLE in the sand by the water
Bite BOTTLE
Go to the Hotel and go inside
Go to the door by the neon sign
Pick up REFRIGERATOR MAGNET
Use REFRIGERATOR MAGNET with PIN
Use PIN with CORK
Talk to Fortune Teller (Madame Xima) û Get her to tell your fortune
Pick TAROT CARD from table û Repeat to get your fortune told until you have picked 5 CARDS up
Pick up CUSHION on STOOL by Bartender (Goodsoup)
Pick up RECEIPE BOOK
Leave hotel and go to Cemetary
Pick up MALLET and CHISEL by CARVED TOMBSTONE by the OLD DOG
Pick up SMELLY DOG HAIR (on dog)
Give HALF-EATEN MAGGOT BISCUIT to OLD DOG
Leave Cemetary and go to Wind Mill
Pick up PEPPER (to the right of the mill) and leave
Go to the Beach
Use CUSHION with ROCKS (on the ground)
Use MALLET on the RUBBER TREE
Go to Hotel and go inside
Go to Refrigerator Room
Use CHISEL with WHEEL OÆ CHEESE
Go to Bartender
Give EGG, SMELLY DOG HAIR, and PEPPER to Bartender
When you are talking to Goodsoup order a drink at some time

Offer AUTHENTIC PIRATE TOOHT to Stan as payment for the insurrance

Pick up SLIPPERY GREASY HAND LOTION

Talk to Bartender (Goodsoup) û Empty all subjects and make sure that he thinks that you are a family member (a Goodsoup), then order a drink with an umbrella.

Go to end of grave û the opposite end of room from the door
Pick up Murray û he falls from the roof when you are closing in on the crack in wall
Pick up CROWBAR

Play cards with Smugglers

Go to Elaine
Use COMPLETED DIAMOND RING with ELAINES LEFT RING FINGER

Talk to LeChuck û LeChuck keeps talking about this and that, so after a while when you get the chance say: "IÆve heard enough! LetÆs get this over with!" and puff you get small
Open DOOR
Talk to Dinghy Dog û get him to guess how old you are
Choose "Give me that ANCHOR"
Use ANCHOR with PIE PAN (in inventory)
Use BOTTLE with PIE PAN (in inventory)
Use HEAVY FAKE PIE with stack of pies (by the rat)
Open GATE
Look through HOLE û where Mime were standing before
Push Dinghy Dog 6 times û he bites you
Go to Snow cone man (Soda Jerk)
Pick up PEPPER MILL
Talk to Soda Jerk
Choose PLAIN SNOW CONE when asked û stay by the snow cone cart û if you walk the snow cone will melt
Use PEPPER MILL with SNOW CONE
Use DINGHY DOG HAIR with SNOW CONE (in inventory)
Use MERINGUE PIE with DISGUSTING SNOW CONE
Eat SNOW CONE

PART VI: GUYBRUSH KICKS BUTT ONCE AGAIN
When you are in the roller coaster and you get to a new diorama and the cursor shifts to a red arrow click like mad to get off! If it doesnÆt work the first time then donÆt worry û you will get back until all the things needed are gathered!
At the first diorama pick up FALLEN ROPE
Wait for LeChuck and you will then to the next diorama
At the second diorama pick up KEG OÆ RUM
Wait for LeChuck and you will then to the next diorama
At the third diorama:
Open LANTERN
Blow FLASK OÆ OIL
Pick up FLASK OÆ OIL
Wait for LeChuck and you will then to the next diorama
At the fourth and last diorama:
Go up to the Big snow monkey
Use FALLEN ROPE with FLASK OÆ OIL
Use FALLEN ROPE (with oil on it) on KEG OÆ RUM
Use EXPLOSIVE KEG OÆ RUM with Snow monkey arm
Go down and wait for LeChuck
Use PEPPER MILL with LeChuck when he is about to blow fire at you û he will sneeze and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!
